The only time I can go to the gym on weekdays is mornings before my day-job. Unfortunately, I like sleeping A LOT more than working out, in the same way that I like chocolate chip cookie dough Haagen Dazs topped with hot fudge and chopped almonds more than I like rice cake.

My goal is to go to the gym at least 4 to 5 times a week. My one obstacle to this goal has always been sleep. Today was a good start, albeit similar to the million other starts I’ve had before. I get close to 8 hours of sleep a day and getting more would be tough, considering my schedule of playing video games until 1 AM. I also don’t really drink caffeine: I don’t like the taste of coffee and I only like tea once in a while. (I drink soda occasionally, but drinking it in the morning is weird to me.)
Anyway, I think it’s just something I’ll have to fight through forever. And if I don’t win, at least there’ll be a giant, comfortable hug-bear in the equation.
